Boutique Origène
For over six decades, Boutique Origène has been the go-to destination for families and workers in Charlevoix. With a humble beginning in 1956, Mirielle Lavoie, supported by her husband Origène Dufour, established "Baie St-Paul Jobbing," now known as Boutique Origène. From its modest origins in a small 11-foot-wide space on St-Jean-Baptiste Street, the store quickly gained popularity, becoming a staple for Charlevoix families. Over time, it expanded to its current location in 1967, offering an extensive selection of high-quality clothing and merchandise for children, women, men, and workers, all under one roof. Guided by Origène Dufour's charismatic leadership, the store fostered a strong sense of community, affectionately known simply as "Origène's" among locals.
Now under the stewardship of the third generation, Brigitte Tremblay, Josianne, and Marie-Eve Dufour, Boutique Origène continues its legacy of personalized service and competitive pricing. Despite its evolution and modernization, the store remains committed to its founding mission: to provide local families with top-notch service and value. With its rich history, diverse product offerings, and enduring commitment to customer satisfaction, Boutique Origène remains a beloved institution in the heart of Charlevoix.
